Public Lecture

On Tuesday, September 28, 2021, Prof. Dr. Mojib Latif from GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and the University of Kiel will give a virtual public lecture entitled "The challenge of climate change - can we still avoid a catastrophe?" at 18:00 hrs, which can be accessed via the following link:

Rescheduling of the public lecture

The public evening lecture "Herausforderung Klimawandel - können wir noch eine Katastrophe vermeiden?" by M. Latif on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 has been brought forward from 19:00 to 18:00.

Registration for workshop B no longer possible

Due to the great interest and the limited number of participants, registration for workshop B (Paleodiversity analysis with the Paleobiology Database and the divDyn R Package) is unfortunately no longer possible.

Postponement of the announcement of accepted presentations

Corresponding authors will be informed about acceptance or rejection of the submitted abstracts on August 24, 2021.

Extension of this year's annual conference by one day

Due to the great interest, this year's annual meeting of the Paläontologische Gesellschaft will be extended by one day. The scientific sessions will take place from September 27 to 30, and on October 01 the two workshops will be held in parallel. Before the meeting, on September 26, we invite you to the Early Career Researcher Roundtable and afterwards to a virtual Icebreaker Party.

Deadline Extension for Registration

The submission deadline for abstracts of presentations has been extended until August 06, 2021.

Official Announcement of Symposia and Workshops

Registrations for oral presentations in various symposia as well as registrations for workshops are now open. In addition, an event (Early Career Researcher Roundtable) will take place on the evening of September 26, 2021.
