ECR Roundtable

To offer a platform for information and exchange among early career researchers (ECRs), the newly formed ECR working group of the Paläontologische Gesellschaft is organizing a meeting for all young academics from students to postdocs (and possibly beyond) participating in the conference.

This event is meant to be an open discussion round, where everyone can share their experiences of or raise concerns about work and life as a young researcher. How has your life as a young/aspiring academic been so far? What would you change and how? We will share advice on career opportunities, dealing with difficult situations, and other topics, and our ideas for the future of paleontology.


We would like to give a voice to the next generation of paleontologists to express themselves and to start to renegotiate the framework of scientific work and professional perspective of young scientists.
